  • Variety – Choose an assortment of cookies with different shapes, sizes, and flavors to add visual interest. Include a mix of classic cookie types, like gingerbread men and classic sugar cookies, along with more unique and unexpected options.
  • Make Ahead – Make the cookie dough ahead of time and store in the freezer in an airtight container until you need then.
  • Colors– Create a nice balance of colors and textures to make the cookie tray visually appealing. Alternate between light and dark cookies, and incorporate cookies with different textures, such as crunchy shortbread, chewy oatmeal cookies, and soft gingerbread cookies.
  • Cookie Trays – Find cookie trays at the dollar store or Amazon.
  • Arrangement – Arrange the cookies by groups, like a charcuterie board. Secure the cookies with plastic wrap and top with a bow or set of cookie cutters.
