Pro Tips and Timesaver Shortcuts

- Use parchment paper to line your baking pans. It cuts down on the cleanup and cookies don't stick to your pan.
- Be sure to make the cookies the same size for easy baking.
- Prepare the dry ingredients ahead of time and store them in a mason jar or zip bag.
- Use room temperature eggs and butter for easy blending. Leave butter at room temperature for at least 15 minutes or place in the microwave for not more than 8 seconds.
- The chocolate crinkle cookies will firm as they cool.
- When baking batches of cookies, use completely cooled cookie sheets. Cookies will spread too much if put on a hot or warm cookie sheet.
Variations, Notes, and Substitutions
- You can substitute unsweetened cocoa powder for the chocolate squares
- You can make a chicken taco soup by substituting the bee with cooked chicken pieces.

Freezing Tips
- Store baked cookies in the freezer in freezer bags, pushing the air out before sealing.
