Easy Ham and Spinach Quiche Breakfast Casserole Recipe

This Ham Spinach Quiche is one of my favorite Quiche Recipes. I love making quiche for breakfast and brunch and even dinner and this makes a lovely meal. Fresh eggs, ham, spinach and cheese come together in this delicious savory meal .

Quiche is one of my favorite recipes to make because its delicious and easy.

It’s also easy to change up depending on what veggies I have on hand.

Easy Recipe. This recipe makes an easy brunch or breakfast quiche. Just a handful of ingredients and a few simple steps are needed to put this easy breakfast quiche together.

Delicious. The combination of ingredients make this quiche so delicious. It isl also a great way to use leftover ham.

Make Ahead Meal. Like my bacon breakfast muffins and my Sausage and egg muffins, this can also make this ahead of time and let family members reheat when they want. Once cooled, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.

Ham and Spinach Quiche Ingredients

  • Eggs – I use large eggs (Grade A) for this recipe. 
  • Cooked Ham – I love using traditional
  • Fresh Spinach
  • Cheese – Medium Cheddar cheese is my favorite, but you can use Sharp Cheddar, Monterey Jack or a mixture of both to change it up. 
  • Milk – I like using 2% milk for this recipe. Whole milk or heavy cream works great too!
  • pie crust – you can use a store-bought pie crust or a homemade pie crust. Personally, I like to use a pre-made crust to save time.

How to Make Ham Spinach Cheese Quiche

Step by Step Instruction Overview

Step 1 – Heat oven to 350 degrees f. In a large bowl, mix eggs with whisk.

Step 2 – Add salt, pepper, nutmeg and milk.

Step 3 – Prepare crust. If using store-bought, pre bake crust.

Step 4 – Add ham into crust shell.

Step 5 – Add chopped spinach.

Step 6 – Add shredded cheese.

Step 7 – Pour egg mixture over pie crust.

Step 5 – Bake until set and crust is golden brown.

Remember to let cool before serving.

Substitutions

  • Cheese – instead of cheddar, you can try Gruyere cheese, Fontina cheese, Swiss or Monterey jack cheese.
  • Switch it Up – this quiche dish is the favorite way to use favorite ingredients

Timesaving Tips and Helpful Hints

  • Some store-bought crusts tend to be thinner and can burn easily, especially around the edges. Covering them with aluminum foil will prevent them from becoming overcooked.
  • For best results, let the quiche cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing..
  • Store leftover quiche in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 frozen pie crust thawed
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup ham cooked and chopped
  • 2/3 cup fresh spinach
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Thaw frozen pie crust as directed on package and make small fork holes in crust with fork. Place pie crust on a baking sheet.
  • Pre-bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees f.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg using a whisk.
  • Add the cooked spinach, ham and cheese to the pie pan.
  • Pour egg mixture into crust.
  • Place quiche on a cookie sheet and cook 25-35 minutes in 350°oven until top is golden and puffed.
  • Let cool a few minutes before cutting.
