- 1 frozen pie crust thawed
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup ham cooked and chopped
- 2/3 cup fresh spinach
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Thaw frozen pie crust as directed on package and make small fork holes in crust with fork. Place pie crust on a baking sheet.
Pre-bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees f.
In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg using a whisk.
Add the cooked spinach, ham and cheese to the pie pan.
Pour egg mixture into crust.
Place quiche on a cookie sheet and cook 25-35 minutes in 350°oven until top is golden and puffed.
Let cool a few minutes before cutting.
- Some store-bought crusts tend to be thinner and can burn easily, especially around the edges. Covering them with aluminum foil will prevent them from becoming overcooked.
- For best results, let the quiche cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing..
- Store leftover quiche in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
