How to make this broccoli quiche recipe
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for about 2 minutes until they become fragrant and translucent.
Toss in the chopped broccoli florets, along with a pinch of salt. Sauté for an additional 3 minutes until the broccoli becomes tender. Set this mixture aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Place the grated cheddar and parmesan cheeses at the bottom of your prepared pie crust. Then, evenly distribute the sautéed broccoli mixture on top.
Carefully pour the egg mixture over the cheese and broccoli, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
Set your quiche pan on a baking sheet (to catch any potential spills) and bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the quiche is golden brown on top and the center has set.
Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing. It can be served warm or at room temperature.
Tips for the Best Results
- If you're using a store-bought pie crust, consider blind baking it by lining it with parchment paper, filling it with pie weights (or dry beans), and baking it for about 10 minutes before adding the quiche filling. This helps prevent a soggy bottom crust.
- For a crustless option, simply grease your pie pan and pour the quiche filling directly into it.
- You can customize this quiche by adding your favorite ingredients, like sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, or even leftover cooked meats.
- Making this the night before is a great way to have an easy breakfast or brunch.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container
- The quiche is done when the center of the quiche is set.
- Let the quiche cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. This will allow the filling to set.
Substitutions and Variations
- For a keto-friendly version, skip the pie crust entirely or use a low-carb crust option.
- Experiment with different cheese combinations in this cheesy broccoli quiche, such as mozzarella or sharp cheddar, to vary the flavor.

This is my favorite kind of quiche. We have a local pie bar that makes it and it sells out fast. Then the next day they have nasty flavors. It's like they never learn that if it sells out, it's good!
