This yummy recipe only requires a handful ingredients.
chicken
honey
garlic
soy sauce
ketchup
oil - I use vegetable oil but you can use olive oil if you want.
cornstarch
sesame seeds

- crockpot or slow cooker
- wire or coated whisk
How to Make Crockpot Sesame Chicken
Instructions
- Cut chicken into bite size pieces.
- Add the chopped chicken thighs to the base of the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl stir honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic and vegetable oil together. Pour over the chicken.
- Cook on low for 3.5 hours.Remove chicken from the slow cooker
- Combine the water and cornstarch to create a slurry
- Whisk the slurry into the sauce
- Turn the slow cooker to high and let the sauce thicken 10-15 mins, Return the chicken to the chicken to the sauce.
Remove chicken from pot with a slotted spoon. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
Serve with rice, noodles, or stir-fried veggies.

Recipe Variations, Notes and Substitutions
- Top with some chopped green onions or add a few red pepper flakes for an easy change-up.
- To thicken the sauce, mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 1 or 2 tablespoons of water, and add it to the sauce.
Optional substitutes:
- You can use brown sugar in the place of honey
- ½ teaspoon of garlic powder will suffice if you don't have fresh garlic
- Gluten-free soy sauce and sesame oil can be used.
