  • boneless chicken breasts
  • taco seasoning – from the grocery store or use homemade taco seasoning
  • jar of salsa

Step 1 – Add the chicken breasts to your crockpot. Sprinkle with Taco Seasoning.

Step 2 – Pour salsa over top of chicken.

Step 3- Cook on low 6-8 hours, or high 3-4 hours. Once cooked, shred the chicken and return it to the crock pot.

Serve with corn or flour tortillas or use taco shells.

Add a few of your favorite taco toppings. Some of my favorites toppings are Pico de Gallo, Restaurant Style salsa, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and fresh tomatoes.

  • While the filling simmers, you can focus on preparing fresh toppings like chopped lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and your favorites.
  • Make a double batch and use the second batch to make burritos, or nachos.
