What are tips for this recipe/List of main ingredients:
Coffee – You want to use a strong coffee or use an espresso. The bolder the better so that it can carry the pumpkin and spices.
Pumpkin Puree – Be sure to use actual pumpkin purée and not pumpkin pie filling. You don't want the extra ingredients that are in pumpkin pie filling.
Whipped Cream–I like to use real whipping cream, but you can use the kind in a nozzled can too.

How to Make a Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe
The full recipe is below, but the basic steps are:
- Warm milk and pumpkin puree in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Add sugar and stir until dissolved
- Add coffee.
- Add pumpkin pie spice.

Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoon pumpkin puree not pumpkin pie filling
- 2 tablespoons sugar can use more or less depending on how sweet you want it
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice plus more for serving if desired **see notes
- ½ cup strong coffee or espresso
- Whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, add milk, pumpkin puree and sugarHeat until hot, but not boiling
- Remove milk mixture from heat and whisk in pumpkin pie spice and coffee.
- Divide into large mugs.
- Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. Serve with a cinnamon stick, if desired.

Years ago, I think Starbucks didn't use real pumpkin (and maybe still don't or maybe I'm wrong but I think I'm right..) and I asked Cassidy to make me something with real pumpkin. Sure enough, he used real pumpkin puree over the stove. It was SO good. I mean, seriously.

Very yummy! I used a Fairlife vanilla protein shake and Fairlife milk for the 2 cups of milk. Then I used allulose sugar instead of real sugar. It made a great healthy treat despite being on a high protein and low carb diet.
