While I have nothing against pies, I often like to change things up and offer an additional dessert that is a bit unexpected and always appreciated. These also go great with the elegant Thanksgiving desserts.

What a week this has been an eventful one with the time change and the elections. It always takes me about a week to adjust to the time change. I usually wake up too early and just am not able to get enough sleep.

We are on to the Holiday countdown. Thanksgiving and Christmas are making their way into my home in the form of decorations and shopping.

I am especially excited for a few days to just unwind and refresh.  I will be hosting Thanksgiving and am grateful for time with my family. Time is such a valuable resource and free days are the best.

If you are hosting Thanksgiving or going elsewhere for the feast, you may be bringing something to share. Thanksgiving Dinner is easier when it is a potluck-style event. Plus, it is a fun way to discover new recipe ideas.
