Hot summer days are so much better when you can take a cold treat out to the back porch and relax. Strawberry Banana Popsicles are a favorite memory from childhood and now the trend is coming back so you can make them for your own children and grandchildren.

How to Make Strawberry Banana Popsicles
Making tasty popsicles is super easy because you just throw it all in the blender. Then taste and adjust for sweetness. Finally, freeze it in the molds and your popsicles will be ready in no time.

Ingredients for Strawberry Banana Popsicles
Strawberries. The good news is, that strawberries are available in the market all year long! You can get great deals when strawberries are in season where you live, so that's a great time to stock up on strawberry banana popsicles.
Banana. This is optional, depending on your preference.
Non-Fat Vanilla Yogurt. Non-dairy also works.
Honey. Maple syrup or agave syrup will also work.
Cornstarch. For thickening.

Step-By-Step Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a blender (preferably a high-powered or smoothie blender).
- Once all ingredients are smooth, taste it.
- Add more sweetener at this time if necessary.
- Pour into molds. Leave room at the top for expansion.
- Place on the mold cover and slide sticks in about ¾ of the way.
- Freeze for 7-8 hours.
- To unmold, run under warm water for 2-3 mins just to loosen the pops and push up from the bottom.




Storing Popsicles
Once the strawberry banana yogurt popsicles are frozen, you can unmold them and save them for later so that you can use your mold for a different popsicle recipe such as our Mango Popsicles. Remove them from the mold, wrap each popsicle individually in wax paper, and then place them into plastic freezer bags. You can keep them frozen like this for several months.

Tips for Best Results
For cream-based pops, your base options are heavy cream, yogurt, almond milk, or coconut milk.
Adding a tablespoon of cornstarch to the mix will ensure they are creamy and not icy.
Taste as you go, to make sure flavors are balanced.
Pour the mixture into the molds using a cup with a spout such as a glass liquid measuring cup.

Can I make strawberry banana popsicles dairy-free?
Yes. Simply substitute your favorite non-dairy yogurt product or any creamy substitute in place of the regular yogurt.
How long does it take to freeze popsicles?
You will need to freeze the popsicles for 7-8 hours for best results.
What else can I use besides popsicle molds?
You can freeze popsicles in small paper cups like the ones sold for wall dispensers. It's not ideal, but it will work in a pinch. You may also be able to use small plastic containers.
