Easy Pork Marinade Recipe

Soy Sauce – I like to use low-sodium and use this one, but you can use a generic soy sauce too. 

Worcestershire sauce – this flavorful sauce adds tamarind and chili pepper extracts for a nice flavor.

Dijon mustard – You want to use any variety of Dijoh, not regular yellow mustard.

Garlic – Fresh garlic is best, but you can use a dried minced garlic in a pinch

How to Make Pork Marinade

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Gather ingredients for the marinade.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until combined
  3. Mix well. After the sauce is combined, Add pork and marinade to a sealable freezer bag and seal. Refrigerate for one to four hours. 
  4. Remove pork, discard marinade and allow to come to room temperature
    Grill or cook pork in the oven as desired. Be sure to use a meat thermometer to ensure that the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.

  • For best results, let the pork marinate in the refrigerator for at least an hour, before grilling or baking.
  • Consider doubling the recipe and storing the extra in the refrigerator to use on another day. It can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Don't reuse the leftover marinade that raw pork has soaked in unless you boil it first. 
  • You can freeze your marinade for up to 2 months by using an ice cube tray to freeze.

Yes, uncooked meat can get mushy if marinated too long. The suggested time is 2 - 24 hours.

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until combined
  • Add pork to resealable bag
  • Pour marinade over pork, seal and refrigerate for 1-4 hours
  • Remove pork, discard marinade and allow to come to room temperature
