Pro Tips and Timesaver Shortcuts

  • If not using the hard boiled eggs immediately, do not peel them until ready to use.
  • Be sure to leave space between the eggs in the air fryer and do not crowd them so they cook evenly.
  • Cooking time may vary according to you air fryer model.
  • If you get a green ring around your egg, it just means that they were cooked a little too long.
  • I used a 6-quart air fryer. If you have a smaller one, just use as many eggs as you can that will fit in one layer. Do not change the temperature or time.

Variations, Notes, and Substitutions

  • You can adjust the cooking time for softer eggs: For a soft boiled egg, cook them 10 minutes. For medium-boiled eggs cook for 12 minutes.
  • Cooking times can vary with the size of the eggs. Extra large eggs may take a few extra seconds.
  • For a clean peel, tap the larger end of the egg on a hard surface, just enough to break the shell. Then peel away under running water.

Serving and Storage Suggestions

  • These are perfect for deviled eggs or eggs for a Cobb salad.
  • Serve with avocado toast
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container. I like to use freezer-safe plastic bags and then I have a meal that is ready to go,
