Best Chicken Ramen Ingredients

This delicious ramen soup recipe uses basic kitchen ingredients you may already have on hand.

Chicken tenders – cut into even-size pieces

Hoisin sauce

Brown sugar – light or dark brown sugar can be used

Oil – for sauteing the chicken

Bell pepper – I like to use red bell pepper to give it a little more color, but you can use whatever color bell pepper you like.

Garlic cloves – Fresh is best, but you also use jarred minced garlic

Chicken stock or chicken broth

Ketchup

Light soy sauce – after all, we’re avoiding the extra sodium from the packet

Honey

Ramen noodles – just the noodles (I do not use the seasoning packet)

Scallions – also known as green onion or spring onion

Sesame seeds – you can use black sesame seeds or white sesame seeds or a combination of the two

Equipment Needed to Make Homemade Ramen

  • Large skillet or dutch oven
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Wooden spoon or heat proof rubber spatula
