Banana Chocolate Chip Cake Ingredients
Bananas – Fully riped bananas work best for this recipe.
Chocolate chips – I prefer to use semi sweet chocolate chips, but you can use milk chocolate or vegan chips.
Butter - I prefer using real butter in my recipes, but you can use margarine if you like. I prefer to use unsalted butter, but either will work.
Flour - I use all-purpose flour
Would you like to save this?
Sugar - Granulated sugar works best in this recipe
Eggs - You will be using two eggs as well as 2 egg yolks for this recipe. I save the whites for omelets
Pure Vanilla Extract - you can use a generic, but make sure it is a real vanilla extract for best results.

How to make a simple chocolate chip loaf cake
The steps to make the cake are so easy!
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar
- Add eggs
- Add the dry ingredients.
- Add the chocolate chips.
- Then pour the batter in the loaf pan and smooth it out with a spoon or rubber spatula. I like to add a few more chocolate chips to the top of the loaf so that the melty chocolate chips stand out when the bread is baked.
Let cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before cutting.
