Cinnamon – so flavorful and in many sweet fall recipes. I use ground cinnamon for this recipe
Nutmeg – Another great fall flavor when used in moderation.
Allspice– Made from cloves and the two spices listed above, you can make your own if you don’t have this spice.
How to Make Apple Pie Spice
Mixing the spices is easy, be sure to have a clean, sealable container to store your apple pie spice. I usually double or triple the recipe and then give the second jar to a friend. The spice makes a wonderful apple butter.
