Apple Pie Spice Recipe

Hello Friends!  This week has been a little warm, but the evenings are starting to cool off. I have never been so ready for fall. I have not had my fall latte yet, but I will soon,

Today’s homemade spice blend recipe is an easy one for the season. It also makes a nice gift idea. Just pick up a few small containers at the dollar store and brighten up a friend’s day with it.

Add the spice to some delicious fall desserts beyond apple pie, like my Apple Crisp, Apple cinnamon rolls, or these Simple Apple Muffins.

You may be wondering,

What is in Apple Pie Spice?

Ingredients in Apple Pie Spice

List of main ingredients:

Cinnamon  – so flavorful and in many sweet fall recipes. I use ground cinnamon for this recipe

Nutmeg – Another great fall flavor when used in moderation.

Allspice– Made from cloves and the two spices listed above, you can make your own if you don’t have this spice.

How to Make Apple Pie Spice

Mixing the spices is easy, be sure to have a clean, sealable container to store your apple pie spice. I usually double or triple the recipe and then give the second jar to a friend. The spice makes a wonderful apple butter.

The spice blend makes a cute gift idea too!
