Fall Pear Salad REcipe

This Pear Salad with Feta Cheese pretty much rings in the season for me. Made with just a handful of ingredients, it truly highlights the fall flavors of pears and cranberries, offset with a nice tangy Feta cheese.

I am a big fan of Feta and love it in salads. I hear that the best Feta in the world is in Greece. I hope to get there one day so I can see for myself. I use feta in several dishes and my Pork Chops with Feta are always a hit.

Fall Pear Salad REcipe

I love the flavor of pears and feta. The slightly sweet pears complement the mild Feta cheese for a creamy, delicious bite. Pears are going to be at their peak in the next few months, and incorporating pears into your menu is a wonderful way to celebrate the seasons' bounty.

I used a field greens mix but you can also use a nice spinach or arugula mix. Both work great and you can use romaine lettuce too!

This Pear Salad with Feta cheese is a beautiful fall salad comes together quickly with just a few ingredients.

This salad makes a nice dinner component, a good choice for lunch, and is wonderful with a bowl of soup too! Or a sandwich!

Heck, it goes with just about anything.

For this salad, I used a homemade Balsamic Dressing.

This homemade Balsamic dressing is great for a hearty fall salad.

Balsamic makes a great tasting dressing for pear salad, and I used this recipe. You can use a store-bought dressing if you are really short on time. But honestly, it takes only a few minutes to make and it is worth it.

What Pears are Best for Salads

I love using Barlett pears for salads. I like a slightly crisp, but juicy pear for my salads. Asian pears are also a nice choice for use in recipes. If I am going to bake pears, I like Anjous or Bartlett.

Grab a bag of greens and add some cranberries, pears and feta cheese to create this wonderful fall Pear salad with Feta Cheese.

I love this salad, not just because of it's colors or flavors, but because it feels like fall and is full of nutrients. The crunchy nuts and pears really add flavor and texture to the salad.

A salad that is not only beautiful, but it is made of the best of fall's fresh produce.

You can serve this Pear salad recipe as a nice lunch idea or you can also serve as the main dish. You can add grilled chicken or steak slices to make it a heartier meal.

The photos are exquisite. I don't eat feta at all, but I'm sure there are good alternatives. I once heard someone ask what the point of pears are, in a world of apples, but I really believe they're perfect on salads.
