Red White and Blue Yogurt Parfaits

A delicious Yogurt Parfait Recipe recipe that is perfect for the season. Fresh sweet berries piled on creamy Greek yogurt make for a perfect summer breakfast or snack idea.

This tasty fruit and yogurt combination is not only perfect as a hearty breakfast. It also makes a great lunch or between-meal snack. In fact, fruit and yogurt parfaits can even be considered a healthy dessert idea.

Why This Recipe

It can be hard to put a healthy breakfast on the table that doesn't take a lot of time. These fresh fruit parfaits with yogurt don't just take a few ingredients, but they also only take a few minutes to make.

For this recipe, I used both strawberries and blueberries to make it a fun Red, White and Blue treat. The result is a creamy and sweet snack.

These parfaits are great to serve as part of a parfait bar.  You can mix up the fruit and include raspberries or cherries too! I love serving these in reusable mason jars and wooden spoons.

Blueberries - Similar to the strawberries, you want blueberries that are plump and bright, without signs of mold.

Yogurt- I like to use either Vanilla or plain greek yogurt for this recipe.

Timesaving Tips to make this perfect every time

  • You can clean and destem the fruit ahead of time so it is ready to make when you are.
  • If packing this for a picnic or camping trip place fruit in a mason jar by itself (it will keep longer)
pack yogurt, honey, granola all separately.
  • If you don't have mason jars or parfait jars, you can use short drinking glasses or clear plastic cups. These parfaits look best when you can see through the sides.

FAQ

What Should I Serve With  Fruit Parfait?

You can add a cherry on top to make it festive. You can also add a layer of whipped cream to your fruit parfait.

No I do not recommend freezing these. The fruit and yogurt will not freeze well.
