Looking to change up your smoothie recipes? This Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie recipe is a nice change up for the upcoming season. While fresh fruit smoothie bowls are on fo my favorite breakfasts this time of year, sometimes you need a breakfast that you can take on the go.
This also makes a wonderful idea for a brunch or shower! They are delicious and so easy to make. They taste more like a dessert and I love that they are filling too!

Did you have a wonderful weekend? With summer coming in just a few weeks, itis time to enjoy some healthy ingredients to the meal plan. I know that I have over-indulged lately and need to get back with eating more fruits and reducing some carbs.
This oatmeal smoothie recipe is a perfect way to incorporate some oats into your breakfast. I love hot oatmeal, but sometimes i just need a little changeup.
This smoothie is best with fresh strawberries, but you can use frozen strawberries too!
Change up this recipe with fresh blueberries to change it up as you like it.

Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie
Ingredients
- ½ cup ice
- 2 bananas
- 2 cups strawberries
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons honey or agave
- 3 tablespoons oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Place ½ cup ice in blender.
- Peel and slice bananas and place into blender.
- Remove stems and wash strawberries.
- Slice strawberries and place in blender.
- Add milk and oatmeal
- Blend on high until mixed.
- Top with chia seeds and sprinkle of oatmeal.
Nutrition
A great time-saving tip is to freeze peeled bananas ahead of time and keep them in the freezer. Cut the bananas into one-inch slices and keep in a sealed container or baggie. It saves you time and gives an added chill to your smoothie.
Be sure to use a blender that is easy to use and easy to clean. I use a Blendtec blender because it is efficient and affordable.

Oh my yum! I love all of these ingredients. Scarlet likes strawberry ANYTHING! I think I'd use honey instead of agave and I WOULD add the chia seeds, for sure.
