High School Graduation Gift Basket Ideas That Wont Cost a Lot

Sharing is caring!

With graduation season in full force, I have been putting together some fun and useful gifts while trying not to break the bank. I recently shared some great cheap graduation gifts on a budget and today I am sharing some high school graduation gift basket ideas. I’ve also got some free printable graduation gift tags for you too.

If you have a high school student graduating this year, you probably know quite a few people whom you would like to acknowledge and I have a great graduation gift idea for you that retails for $10-12, thanks to the dollar store. If you have your own basket and filling, this gift price drops down to $10.

It is so easy and fun to put together a basket of good graduation gifts for the graduating student. This is what the final gift looks like.

Inexpensive Graduation Gift Basket – Item Suggestions

Here is a closer look at what is inside. Every dollar store is different, so you may find a variety at your favorite dollar spot.

First, we have flip-flops – kids can never have enough of these and they come in a ton of varieties.

Erasable whiteboard – for to-do lists and reminders.

A small box of chocolates for a sweet treat.

A toolset is helpful for any teen.

A laundry bag so they can do their laundry (yay!)

A brush and comb set.

Peppermints – these are great for freshening breath, to ease a sore throat or just for a sweet snack. Lined note pad – who doesn’t need these?

Highlighters and index cards – perfect if they are going on to college.

A phone stand or charger is always very helpful.

Here are a few other cheap graduation gift ideas from the dollar store:

  • Earphones
  • Summer Toiletry items
  • Beauty items
  • Toiletries
  • Cookies
  • Chips
  • Playing Cards
  • Flashlight
  • Flip flops
  • Frames
  • Soap
  • Office Supplies
  • A gift card to the dollar store

Then I purchased a tub and decorative filling for only a buck apiece. If you have basket’s already, you have just saved yourself more money.

I put everything in the basket.

But we are not done yet. I added some tulle leftover from my last dollar store project and a cute tag. I am attaching a printable for the tags because greeting cards are terribly expensive these days. Just click on the link below and you are ready to attach to your gift.

Great ideas. I've been thinking about giving my nephew more than just money which I know he wants but I just want to give him a little something extra. This post is a big help. Thanks.
