Hello Friends! I hope you are all having a great week! With a new season of school, football and tailgate parties coming, I thought it was a perfect time to share my version of a fun, classic snack recipe. I remember seeing this snack mix at all the gatherings when I was a kid and every once in a while I get nostalgic for a homestyle snack.
Do you ever crave food from your childhood? I have been doing it a lot lately and I love recreating classic recipes with my own twist.
This iteration of a classic cereal snack mix is easy to make and a fun savory party snack idea and it is super simple to make. The traditional recipe included pretzels so you can add them too. You can change it up to suit your tastes by changing up the cereal, nuts, and crackers.
I try to change it up from time to time so that it is a little different each time, but it always has the classic flavors I remember.
It is perfect for parties, movie night or football viewing. This salty snack mix combines nuts, cereal, and cheese crackers to make a tasty and crunchy snack mix that is a classic and the whole family will love!
Timesaving Tips
- Holla! This recipe can be made in the microwave to save a lot of time. I prefer the traditional oven for even heating, but it tastes just as good in the microwave.
- Make this snack mix ahead of time and you can store it for a few days.
- Double the batch and put in mason jars for fun gifts for friends or family.
