This easy creamy honey mustard dressing is not only wonderful on salads, but it is also great with vegetables, chicken, and beef too! Best thing is, that this Honey Mustard dressing recipe is made with just five ingredients!
During the summer, I find myself making more salads for dinner and thought I would share this recipe from a few years ago.

During the summer, I find that we enjoy eating cooler, non-baked meals and this creamy salad dressing recipe is perfect to make on a day you want some relief from the heat. It not only requires no cooking, but the meal itself is cool and refreshing.

I made this honey mustard dressing the other day in a matter of minutes so I thought I would share the recipe with you. This is so easy to make that you will likely not buy honey mustard dressing again. I'm serious! I adapted this recipe from a Betty Crocker recipe. I wanted to make it healthier so omitted the oil and added yogurt and mayonnaise to make it creamy.
This recipe takes only five simple ingredients, and the best part is they are staples you are likely to have on hand already. Those are truly the best recipes.
I like to add unflavored yogurt to the recipe to reduce the amount of mayonnaise (and calories). I made this recipe with yellow mustard but you can also make it with Dijon mustard
For the salad, I used a basic spring mix and added tomatoes, bacon, and purple onion. find purple onion the best flavor for salads and love the color it adds.

This dressing is perfect for a summer salad or also for bread and pretzels. It is smooth and creamy mustard with a little tanginess to it.
It also makes a great sauce for dipping and is perfect for chicken tenders, potato chips, and fresh vegetables. But did you know that Honey Mustard with French Fries is SO GOOD

I love to make my own salad dressings, and honey mustard is one of my favorite flavors. I love the idea of cutting the fat using yogurt. I'm looking forward to giving this a try - pinned!

My hubby enjoys Honey Mustard dressing on salads but I prefer using it as a dip for chicken tenders. We need to make our own because I know it would be better. Saving your recipe! Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday. See ya next week!
