This Easy Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing is a perfect dressing for salads, fresh vegetables, and chicken wings. Easily made in minutes with herbs and spices.

The best thing is that you likely have all the ingredients in your pantry. This Buttermilk Ranch Dressing Homemade Recipe requires Onion flakes, dill weed, parsley, garlic powder, and paprika come together to make this favorite ranch dressing.

Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

Hello Friends! Another weekend is in the books and I am loving that I am able to wear shorts and dresses again!

Today’s Buttermilk Ranch Dressing recipe is an easy one when you are looking for a great salad dressing. I personally love to make my own salad dressings because they not only taste great, but they are cheaper to make than buying bottled dressing.

This time of year is perfect for salads and fresh vegetables and by pairing this dressing with fresh-cut vegetables, you have a wonderful healthy appetizer idea.

Ingredients for Best Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

Buttermilk – The best ranch dressing has buttermilk as the main ingredient. If you cannot find it, you can make a good substitute with a mixture of ¾ teaspoon of lemon juice and enough milk to fill to make ¼ cup.

Dill Weed – I love this herb and how easy it is to grow at home. It's sweet, bright flavor is perfect for dips and vegetables.

Onion Flakes – These dehydrated, chopped onions are a must for any spice cabinet. Perfect in so many savory recipes and they add wonderful flavor to this dressing.

Dried Parsley - Another must-have herb that is a little salty and actually a little bitter, but brings out flavors in many foods.

Chives - Chives are best in this recipe, but you can use chopped green onions (like I did in the photo below).

How to make Buttermilk Ranch Dressing:

It only takes minutes to make the dressing, but it is best if you refrigerate it for a couple of hours after making it so that the flavors can really come together and the dressing is chilled.

Yum! We have fresh buttermilk here that I thought I needed for a recipe and then didn't. And I love that you gave the substitution because I thought about making it from scratch over going to the store.
    I love ranch!
