This recipe is a copycat recipe for McDonald's Oreo McFlurry.

It is simple, delicious and ready in about 15 minutes

You can change up the flavors making this very versatile and customizable. This is made without the use of an ice cream maker. You can make this in a blender, stand mixer or large bowl using a hand mixer.

It's cheaper to make your own McFlurry at home.

  3. Add half and half slowly to loosen up the ice cream mixture.

  5. Pour into a medium glass or ice cream soda glass.
  6. Garnish with whipped cream and crushed cookies or a few mini Oreos.

Pro Tips and Timesaver Shortcuts

  • A McDonalds McFlurry is made with soft-serve ice cream. This recipe simulates that by adding s little whole milk or  cream to the mixture.
  • To get a stronger vanilla flavor, you can add a few drops of vanilla extract to the ice cream.
  • When crushing the cookies, tap the bagged cookies (rather than rolling) with a rolling pin to break them into smaller pieces.

Variations, Notes, and Substitutions

  • You can substitute chocolate chip cookies for the Oreos
  • You can substitute m&m candies for the Oreos
  • You can substitute crushed candy bars for original ice cream flavors.
  • If you do not have heavy cream you can use full-fat milk in its place.

Serving and Storage Suggestions

  • Serve with whipped cream and a cherry on top.
  • You can freeze 16 oz glasses in the freezer for 20 minutes before hand to keep the frozen treat cold.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
