While I love the original recipe, I have made a couple of changes that really make these Magic Bars wonderful!
Hello Friends! How is your week going? We are enjoying the warm weather and even enjoyed a lovely wedding this past weekend. The wedding was right on the beach and the sunset was a perfect ending to a lovely day.
Today’s recipe is an easy one when you are looking for a tasty appetizer to put together quickly. I love simple recipes like this one, because I can use ingredients I already have on hand and the amount of clean up is minimal. I also love the way all the flavors come together for a lovely cookie bar!
Chocolate Coconut Toffee Bars are wonderful for picnics and gatherings and also for lunch box treats.
These Coconut magic bars go fast, so you may want to make a double batch if you are taking some to a potluck.
Major ingredients for the bars include:
Chocolate Chips I love to use semi-sweet but you can use milk chocolate too.
Condensed Milk - Make sure to use this type, it is also known as sweetened condensed milk.
Coconut - One of the stars of the show and you will want to use coconut from a pouch for this. Found in the baking section of the store.

Coconut Chocolate Magic Bars Recipe with Toffee

Magic Toffee Bars
Ingredients
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- ½ cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Heat oven 350 degrees.
- Grease 13 "x 9” baking pan with butter.
- Mix butter and graham cracker crumbs in bowl.
- Press down graham cracker crumbs in baking pan.
- Pour condensed milk over crumbs.
- Add chocolate chips, toffee bits, coconut (and nuts if desired).
- Press down with a spatula.
- Bake 25-30 minutes until coconut is light brown.
- When cool, cut into squares.
