This easy Cheeseburger Pasta recipe is the perfect easy meal idea when you need to whip up dinner fast and easily.
Made with a few simple ingredients, this easy one pot pasta dish is one of those quick meals that are perfect for busy weeknights. I make this recipe nearly once a month because it is that good.
The great thing is that you can serve it with whatever you love in your favorite burger, so the varities are endless.

- short pasta, any shape - (I used mini penne but you could use cavatappi pasta or elbow macaroni
- ground beef - I use an 80/20 lean ground beef mixture.

- diced tomatoes
- beef broth
- Cheddar cheese
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Tomatoes, Pickles, Lettuce (optional)

How to Make easy one-pot cheeseburger pasta
Step 1 - Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion over medium-high heat, and drain excess fat.
Step 2 - Add the garlic to the skillet and
Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, ketchup, and mustard.
Step 3 - Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly. (can omit)
Add the cooked pasta to the meat mixture and toss to coat it evenly with the sauce.
Step 4 - Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese and add tomatoes.
Step 5 - Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top of the pasta and cover the skillet until the cheese is melted.
Serve and enjoy!
Substitutions & Variations
- Chicken or Turkey - instead of ground beef, you can use ground chicken or ground turkey
- Spicy - Add a Β½ teaspoon of hot sauce or salsa to add a little kick to your pasta.
- Flavor Boost - Add a Β½ teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce or steak seasoning to the beef hamburger for a boost in beef flavor.

- Cook the pasta ahead of time and store in the refrigerator.
- Cook the pasta al dente and be careful not to overcook. You can boil extra pasta and save it for another dish.
- Make a double batchΒ and freeze it for later. Cheeseburger pasta is a great dish to make ahead of time. Once assembled, you can freeze it for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before baking.
- Store leftover cheeseburger pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Cheeseburger Pasta

- 1 (15 ounce can diced tomatoes

- 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
- Β½ cup ketchup
- ΒΌ cup mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped lettuce for garnish (optional)
- Quartered cherry tomatoes for garnish (optional)
- Chopped pickles for garnish (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, ketchup, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly with the sauce.
- Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top of the pasta and cover the skillet until the cheese is melted.
