Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, ketchup, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly with the sauce.
Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top of the pasta and cover the skillet until the cheese is melted.
Serve the Cheeseburger Pasta hot, garnished with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and sesame seeds if desired.
