Ingredients

  • vanilla bean ice cream
  • fizzy ginger ale
  • fresh apple cider
  • caramel sauce or caramel syrup
  • whipped cream, optional

How to make Apple Cider Ice Cream Floats

Step 1 - Add a scoop of ice cream to the cup.

Step 2 - Add apple cider.

Step 3 - Add ginger ale

Step 4 - top with whipped cream and caramel sauce.

Add a straw and a cinnamon stick for garnish and serve.

Substitutions & Variations

  • caramel apple cider floats- instead of i
  • apple juice - in a pinch, you can use apple juice instead of cider
  • additional toppings- you can add other toppings to the whipped cream such as chopped nuts, maraschino cherries, or sprinkles on top.
  • less sugar - To reduce sugar, you can use reduced-sugar ice cream, or use sparkling water with natural fruit flavors to reduce the calorie and sugar content.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with some whipped cream and a sprinkle of apple pie spice or cinnamon sugar. You can also add a maraschino cherry or a cinnamon stick.

Timesaving and Helpful Tips

  • Be sure to use a creamy ice cream. Soften the ice cream slightly before scooping to make it easier to work with when preparing.
  • Freeze the glasses ahead of time so that they stay cold when serving.
  • To Make Ahead, scoop the ice cream into glasses and store them in the freezer until ready to serve. Pour soda over the ice cream just before serving to maintain the fizzy texture.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • ¾ cup Apple Cider
  • 3/4/ cup Ginger Ale
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Caramel sauce for topping
  • Cinnamon sticks for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • To your glass, add 3 scoops of ice cream.
  • Fill the glass halfway with apple cider and top off with ginger ale.
  • If desired, top with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
