Every year we go to an Ugly Christmas Sweater party hosted by our good friends. If you are looking for a fun holiday party idea, let me tell you that this is a fun way to get everyone involved and give some love to those gaudy Christmas sweaters. Half the fun is finding or making the perfect sweater!
Today I am sharing some fun Ugly Sweater party ideas from a few blogger friends.
I made these "sweater" letters by drawing a sweater outline on some cardstock and then using the guide to cut additional sweaters from patterned cardstock. (This is a great way to use those extra scrapbook papers you might have around). I used an ugly sweater cookie cutter that I had for the pattern.
Then with a few embellishments such as bows, washi tape, and trim, I decorated each paper sweater. This is a fun craft idea to get the family involved.
Next, I added some sticker letters to create the word "welcome".
Then,I punched two holes in each sweater collar and wove ribbon through them to connect them.
This is the banner when it was done.
It was so much fun making this that I am going to do some other decorating with paper sweaters.
