Strawberry Goat Cheese Crostini

This Simple Strawberry Goat Cheese Crostini is the perfect crostini appetizer or snack to brighten up the table and add a bit of deliciousness to any meal.
I love this easy summer appetizer recipe when I need a super quick snack to serve. It’s one of the simplest appetizers – I can make these tasty appetizers in about 10 minutes.

This delicious summer appetizer is a nice way to incorporate fresh fruit into your meal and it also looks very pretty on the table. Great for tea parties and brunches too!
I made this tasty strawberry bruschetta recipe the other day and loved how they tasted. The honey brings a nice flavor to the sweet strawberries with soft creamy goat cheese and Arugula, another one of my favorites.

Strawberry Crostini Ingredients
- fresh strawberries – use bright ripe strawberries.
- soft cheese – I used goat cheese but you can use Feta cheese or Cream cheese.
- small bread slices – I use a baguette.
- Arugula – you can substitute fresh basil leaves if you like.
- honey

This Simple StrawberryGoat Cheese Appetizer is a nice way to celebrate summer and brighten up a table. It is perfect for a party dish for a shower or brunch too.

How To Make Strawberry Crostini
Step 1 – Heat oven to 350 degrees f. Slice the baguette into thin slices (about 1/4″ – 1/3″). Bake the sliced baguettes on a baking sheet for about 7 – 8 minutes until golden brown. Meanwhile, add orange juice to strawberry slices in a small saucepan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.

Step 2 – Add cream cheese to the crostini slices.

Step 3 – Add two sprigs of Arugula to the slices.

Step 4 – Top each bread with a couple of slices of strawberries.

Add a drizzle of honey and Boom you done with this delicious appetizer! Super easy!


- Always use fresh berries for best results.
- The baguette slices should be golden brown and slightly crispy so that they hold the cheese and strawberries.
- Use a quality goat cheese.
- While you can prepare the ingredients ahead of time, they should be prepared just prior to serving.
- Store leftover strawberries in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Simple Strawberry Goat Cheese Bruschetta

Strawberry Goat Cheese Bruschetta
Equipment
- small saucepan
- sheet pan
- Serrated knife
Ingredients
- 1 4 oz package goat cheese
- 1 cup Arugula
- 1 carton fresh strawberries washed and destemmed
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 French bread baguette
- 2 tablespoons honey
Instructions
- Slice the French baguette into 1/4″ slices.
- Place baguette slices on cookie sheet and bake at 305° for about 6 -8 minutes.
- Destem and wash strawberries.
- Slice strawberries (about 1/4″)
- Add orange juice strawberry slices in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook 2 -3 minutes.
- Place toasted baguette slices on serving dish.
- Spread 1 teaspoon goat cheese on each baguette slice.
- Add one Arugula leaf to slice.
- Layer two slices of strawberry slice mixture on each leaf.
- Drizzle with honey and serve.

I don’t like Arugula can I use something else, or can I just skip this
You could try some basil or skip it altogether.
