Thinking about planning a Vampire themed party? Whether you are planning one for Halloween or for the final season of Vampire Diaries, it makes for a fun and spooky party theme.
A couple of my family are big Vampire Diaries fans and with Halloween here, it makes for a perfect celebration. I am sharing some tips on planning a Vampire Themed party today. Don't forget to make some fun DIY Bat decorations.
Planning a Vampire Themed Party
Let your party guests know about your party with electronic or paper invitations letting your guests know that you are inviting them into your home. Because everyone knows that vampires cannot enter human homes unless they are invited in by the owner of the home.
ACTIVITIES
Consider having a fun contest for the best costume, most original or scariest look. Set up an area for guests to vote on their favorites. Give small gift prizes such as candies or a small trophy.
Watch Vampire shows or movies.on TV or on a screen outside in the backyard. Some fun ones are:
- Vampire Diaries
- Angel
- True Blood
- Van Helsing
- Dark Shadows
- Dracula

Serve some fun red soft drinks or cocktails that fit the party theme. Name your drinks around the vampire theme, such as Vampires Kisses or Midnight Mocha Lattes. Put water bottles and sodas in a fun vampire cooler.
DECOR IDEAS
Decorate the house or yard with this fun and very inexpensive items:
Make these fun coffee filter bats and decorate the room.

- plastic fangs - put these on the table or on a drinking glass for fun.
- garlic bulbs - you can cook with these afterward

- spooky bottles (make them with these)
- old books - take off the book covers to add a curious feel

- old keys
- mini-cauldrons - fill with nuts, candies or raisins for a festive look

- fake blood splattered on paper
- mirrors
Vampire Themed Party Treats
Keep the menu simple, but festive. Serve a few garlic dishes just for fun. Buy some fake vampire teeth and place them around the buffet along with some accessories.
Now on to some fun spooky Halloween treat ideas. This candied popcorn is perfect for watching vampire movies.
