Halloween Jello Ingredients
  • orange jello
  • lime jello
  • black cherry jello
  • unflavored jello (1 oz packages)
  • condensed milk

Substitutes & Variations

You can cut into  jell-o jigglers into fun shapes using a small cookie cutter.

I used black cherry jello, but grape jello works too.

You can make these Jell-o Jigglers in small clear glass jars or hard plastic cups instead of squares from a pan.

How to Make ​Easy Halloween Jello Jigglers

Step 1 – Dissolve Black Cherry Jello In Hot Water

In a large bowl, add black cherry jello with 1 teaspoon of unflavored jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until jell-o is dissolved. Pour black cherry gelatin mixture into pan. Chill in refrigerator about 30 minutes.

Step 2 – Make White Cream Layer

While jello is setting, dissolve 1 envelope  (1 ounce) of unflavored jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add 1/2 can of the sweetened condensed milk and blend. Once the first layer of jello has set, pour this milk mixture over the purple layer of jello.

Chill 30 minutes.

Step 3 – Repeat Layering Orange Jello

Repeat with next orange layer. Dissolve orange jello with 1/2 packet (1 teaspoon) unflavored gelatin in boiling water. Pour jello mixture into pan over the white layer and chill again.

While jello is setting, dissolve 1 envelope  (1 ounce) of unflavored jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add 1/2 can of the sweetened condensed milk and blend. Pour over orange jello when it has set and return dish to refrigerator.

Step 4 – Repeat Layering Lime Jello

Dissolve the lime jello with 1/2 pachage the unflavored gelatin (1 teaspoon) and 1 cup boiling water. Add Lime jello layer over the condensed milk.

Step 5 – Final Chill

Chill for about an hour so that all the layers are set.

Serving and Storage Suggestions

Cut the squares with a sharp knife. Use a non-serrated one. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and Halloween sprinkles.

Store jigglers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Time-Saving Tips

  • This is a great recipe to make ahead of time.
  • I like to make these in a clear baking dish so you can see all the colorful layers.
  • You can add a light coat of cooking spray to the pan for easy removal of jello once it sets.
  • Cut Jello squares with a sharp knife or small cookie cutters.

Recipe FAQs

Can I use Other Flavors of Jello?

Yes you can substitute any flavors of jello for the non white layers.

Can I freeze Jello Jigglers?

Yes you can but I recommend either using freezer safe dishes or using small silicone molds to make these. Most glassware cannot stand up to freezer temperatures. Also be sure to let then thaw before serving.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 3 ounce package orange jello
  • 1 3 ounce package green jello
  • 1 3 ounce package black cherry jello
  • 4 packages unflavored jello (I used Knox)
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 cups water

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl dissolve black cherry jello and 1/2 package (1 teaspoon) of Knox unflavored jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
  • Pour into a baking pan Chill until set 20-30 minutes.
  • Prepare White Layer Stir in 1 envelope of unflavored gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Add 1/2 can unsweetened condensed milk. Let cool and pour over the black cherry layer.
  • Chill for 20 minutes.
  • Make next layer in bowl. – Mix Orange jello and 1/2 packge (1 teaspoon) of unflavored jello in 1 cup boiling water.
  • Pour the orange jello mixture over the white layer and chill for 20 minutes.
  • Prepare 2nd White Layer Stir in 1 envelope of unflavored gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Add 1/2 can unsweetened condensed milk. Let cool and pour over orange layer.
  • Once chilled add the remaining condensed milk mixture over the orange layer. Chill 20 minutes.
  • Make final jello layer – Mix green jello and 1/2 package (1 teaspoon) of unflavored jello in 1 cup boiling water. Pour over the milk layer.
  • Chill for an hour.

Notes

Store in an airtight container or covered with plasitc wrap in the refrigerator.
This is a great dessert to make a day ahead.
