These fun Halloween Rice Krispie Treats are a fun way to celebrate the season. Cute little mummy rice krispie treats on a stick are sure to delight at your next Halloween party or gathering.

Why This Recipe

Halloween rice krispie treats are easily made with just a few ingredients and are made in about 30 minutes. These are Mummy Rice Krispie treats on a stick which makes them fun to eat, but you can serve them without the sticks if you wish. 

The result is a fun Halloween treat idea that is also delicious! Any one who loves rice treats is sure to love these. 

This Halloween rice Krispie treats recipe is perfect for lunchboxes or as party favors and they look very cute on a Halloween tablescape.

Ingredients For Halloween Krispies 

Rice Krispies  - You can use name brand or generic, both work fin.

Marshmallows - I used large because that is what I had on hand, but mini-marshmallows will melt quicker. 

Butter - I always prefer butter, but margarine works too. I recommend salted butter for this recipe. 

Candy Melts - you will need white ones.

Candy Eyes - You can use large or small eyes. I have photos of both for comparison.

Equipment and Kitchen Tools Needed

  • large saucepan
  • rubber spatula
  • baking dish
  • knife
  • lollypop sticks
  • piping bag
  • piping tip #46 - you will want to use a basket weave tip or petal tip.
  • small microwave-safe bowl

How to Make Mummy Rice Krispie Treats

Instructions

  1. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan with butter or margarine. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add marshmallows.
  3. Stir often until fully melted.
  4. Remove from heat and add cereal.
  5. Pour cereal mixture into pan and and push mixture to lay evenly in the pan.
  6. Once mixture is cool, use a knife to cut out pop shapes.

How To Make Halloween Rice Krispie Treats

Once all of the pops are cut, you are ready to begin decorating.

Melt the candy melts in 30 second intervals in the microwave until just melted. Pour melted candy into a piping bag with tip.

Then brush on "tape" candy from left to right, over lapping and varying the lengths. Be sure to brush using the serrated side of tip down. Then just add two candy eyes to each pop and let set.
