- Rinse all of your fruit, and pat dry with paper towels.
- Add the fruit to a large bowl, and toss.
- In a small bowl, combine honey, lime juice, and zest. Whisk to combine.
- Drizzle the honey mixture over the fruit, and toss again to coat.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Time Saving Tips & Tricks
- Use ripe but firm fruit: Soft or overripe fruit can turn mushy.
- Make sure you use seedless grapes. If you want, you can buy the pineapple precut.
- Be sure to pat the fruit fry after you wash it. This will help the dressing stick to the fruit.
- Chill everything before mixing: Cold fruit enhances the refreshing flavor and helps the salad stay crisp.
- Cut larger fruit into uniform bite-sized pieces.
- Prepare ahead – Prep and store the sliced fruit in separate containers, then combine with lime juice dressing right before serving to keep it fresh.
How to Serve Tropical Fruit Salad
Serve this zesty fruit salad in a clear trifle bowl or wide glass serving dish to show off the beautiful colors.
Picnic-perfect: Pack into individual mason jars or clear plastic cups for grab-and-go servings great for BBQs, pool parties, and picnics. Serve with this easy 2 ingredient pineapple and angel food cake.
You can also serve this fruit salad as a brunch or breakfast side with Quiche Lorraine, Cranberry Orange Scones or Vanilla Muffins, and Breakfast Potatoes.
How to Store Fruit Salad
Store leftover salad in an airtight container or ziploc bag back in the colder part of the refrigerator. If you have individual leftover ingredients, store them separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator.
When stored properly, fruit salad will usually be good for 3-5 days. But this is also entirely dependent on what types of fruit are used, how ripe they are, and how they react to each other when stored together.
Do not freeze leftover fruit salad.
