How to make chocolate strawberries

Hi Friends! It's a cloudy day here at home so I have been catching up on some reading and doing a little holiday prep. This is one of those recipes that we used to make for Valentine's school parties.

Now many schools will not let you bring in your own baked goods, but back in the day, we used to be able to make these. They were also great for selling at bake sales. Does anyone remember those?

Today, this is the perfect treat to make for parties and gatherings or just to celebrate the day!

Homemade Chocolate Strawberries

This fun and simple candy recipe is made with white chocolate chips and topped with fun sprinkles. Honestly, this is so easy to make and you can even change up the sprinkles for any occasion. These are especially nice for birthdays and anniversaries too!

By the way, these are also great for wedding shower brunches too!

How do you make Chocolate Dipped Strawberries?

First, you will need large strawberries. I usually buy a container that has a few large ones in it.

Then all you need is some semi-sweet chocolate chips. You melt the chips and then swirl the strawberries.

Set them on ta parchment paper and chill them in the refrigerator. That's it!

timesaving tips to streamline recipes

  • You can make these the morning of or the day before, but more than that and they will start to break.
  • Be sure to use parchment paper for easy cleanup. Waxed paper works too!
  • If the chocolate is still a little thick, you can add a teaspoon of shortening and pop in the microwave at 50% power for about 10 seconds.

Yum! These are special because Cassidy gave me chocolate covered strawberries when we were dating and he sent them to my work. My co-workers said he was a keeper. I should make them for him now1

I once had a boy courting me make me chocolate covered raspberries too. They're smushier, though.

These are such a lovely indulgent treat, and perfect for Valentines Day. And because they are fruit based they are healthy, right?

This is one of my favorite treats and they can be very expensive this time of year. Thanks for sharing a less expensive alternate. #HomeMattersParty

These look so delicious, I never get the because they’re so expensive. They look relatively easy to make so I’m going to have to try.
