How To Make Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Step 1 - First, you will need large strawberries with bright green leaves. I usually buy a container that has a few large ones in it. Wash strawberries and let dry.
Step 2 - Then all you need is some semi-sweet chocolate chips. You melt the chips on low heat in a microwave-safe bowl until the chocolate is creamy. Dip strawberries in the melted chocolate.
Step 3 - Place chocolate covered berries on a parchment-lined baking sheet, a couple of inches apart. Chill them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, until set. That's it!

- For best results, use room temperature strawberries so that the chocolate will not set to quickly.Make sure that you dip dry strawberries in the chocolate.
- You can make these the morning of or the day before, but more than that and they will start to break.
- If the chocolate is still a little thick, you can add a teaspoon of shortening or add a little bit of coconut oil, and pop in the microwave at 50% power for about 10 seconds.
- You can also melt chocolate using the double boiler method.
- Store leftover chocolate strawberries in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Yum! These are special because Cassidy gave me chocolate covered strawberries when we were dating and he sent them to my work. My co-workers said he was a keeper. I should make them for him now1
I once had a boy courting me make me chocolate covered raspberries too. They're smushier, though.
