Raquel’s Time Saving Tips
- Bake your frozen chicken in a preheated oven until golden before tossing it in sauce for that crisp bite
- Use a serrated bread knife to slice the bottom half of the rolls cleanly without tearing
- Layer cheese beneath and above the buffalo chicken mixture so it melts evenly and holds the sliders together
- Brush melted butter mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning across the tops of the rolls with a basting brush for the perfect finish
- Let the sliders rest for about 10 minutes before cutting so the cheese can set slightly
Substitutions and Variations
- Swap chicken strips for shredded chicken breast or rotisserie chicken if you want something easier to prep
- Try using chicken thighs for extra juicy flavor
- Use cream cheese or Monterey Jack to make the buffalo chicken mixture rich and creamy
- Replace provolone with cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, or a mix of both if you like lots of melty cheese
- For a milder taste, use more ranch dressing and less hot sauce
- Add green onion or blue cheese crumbles for that classic buffalo chicken recipe flavor
- Serve them on dinner rolls, sweet rolls, or King’s Hawaiian buns depending on your favorite brand

FAQs About Buffalo Chicken Sliders
Yes. You can use shredded chicken from a rotisserie or slow cooker buffalo chicken sliders recipe. Just mix the cooked chicken with buffalo sauce and melted butter before layering.
Provolone melts nicely, but cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack, or mozzarella cheese all work great. For a tangy flavor, add a sprinkle of blue cheese crumbles.
Yes. Assemble everything except for brushing on the butter topping. Cover and refrigerate. When ready, add the melted butter mixture and bake for 20–25 minutes until the tops of the rolls are golden.
Ranch dressing balances the spicy buffalo sauce, but you can use blue cheese dressing if you prefer. Both make a creamy, cool layer that pairs well with the heat.
Place individual sliders on a baking sheet, cover loosely with foil, and warm in the oven at 350°F for about 10–15 minutes. They taste just as good the next day.
