Tips for the Best Results

  • Bring cream cheese to room temperature for easy mixing
  • Use a large mixing bowl to combine the sour cream, cream cheese, and seasonings
  • A serrated knife works best for cutting rolled tortillas into even pieces. A sharp knife makes slicing smoother and prevents squishing the pinwheels
  • Wrap the tortilla roll tightly in plastic wrap to help it hold its shape
  • Chill for at least an hour before slicing for cleaner cuts
  • Add cheddar cheese for a cheesy chicken flavor.
