A list of fun things to do to capture the summer spirit as it's still summer here.

It's still summer here - a list of fun things to do before summer ends.

Are you already seeing hints of fall all around you? In the stores and in magazines I am already seeing back to school items, fall decor and pumpkins! While I like the things that fall brings, I am still immersing myself in summer because, it's still summer here. I am not a big fan of feeling like the next season is being presented while I am still enjoying the present season.

In fact, there are still a few things I have planned this summer and in fact, made my it's still summer here bucket list. While these are on my "bucket" list, I do not consider it a task list because I want to enjoy the moments. I feel that by slowing down and savoring the moments, it is truly a better way to enjoy life to the fullest. We will see what the next few weeks bring.

It's Still Summer Here Bucket List

  • Make some mason jar luminaries.
  • Read a good book outdoors.
  • Watch a sunset.
  • Make homemade lemonade.
  • Go to the beach.
  • See a summer concert.
  • Enjoy a refreshing summer salad.
  • Celebrate my birthday.
  • Go white water rafting.
  • Visit Colorado when it is not snowing.
  • Make homemade ice cream.
  • Make some homemade popsicles.
  • Build a fairy garden.
  • Go beer tasting with good friends.
  • Decorate with succulents.
  • Host a summer party.

Does this mean I won't be shopping the fall and back to school stuff? No way. Being the planner that I am, I certainly will be stocking up on stuff for school and thinking about fall flavors, but I hope to savor the season of summer as long as I can. Living in the moment is important to me and the one of the essential components of happiness. How about you? Are you still feeling the summer spirit where you are? What is on your list to do before summer ends?

We still have five weeks of summer and I'm in no hurry. I see back to school stuff everywhere and I sort of shudder. I like an end of summer bucket list myself. As you remember, last summer I went to Alaska in late August. This year, I'm meeting Tim Curry in mid-August. I save up my best stuff for late summer!

Hi, I'm Raquel! I am a self-proclaimed foodie and have enjoyed cooking and baking since I was little.
