Tips and tricks on how to menu plan for the week, save money and waste less.
With a new season comes new goals and today I am sharing my tips on how to menu plan for the week. We tend to menu plan more during fall through spring since the summers often mean traveling.
Menu planning just takes about 20-30 minutes to plan out a week's worth of meals and use summer produce to your advantage. Here are some helpful tips on how to menu plan for the week:
- Make a list of your family's favorite meals.
- Look at the weekly ad for your grocery store so you can be aware of what is on sale.
- Once you see what is on sale, look for recipes and remember that you can freeze many items for later in the season.
- Use a printable menu planning template to make notes.
- Get creative on ways to use leftovers.
- Check out the weekly menu plan for this week and available every Friday on this blog.
