Time Saving Tips & Tricks for the Best Beef Sliders

  • Prepare the seasonings ahead of time and keep handy when you want to make this meal.
  • Don’t skip browning the beef – it adds flavor and helps develop that deep, savory taste in the broth.
  • You can use jarred minced garlic from the deli to save time.
  • Use two forks or a hand mixer on low for quick shredding once the beef is tender.

How to Serve Shredded Beef Sliders

You can top your sliders with sauteed bell peppers, provolone or cheddar cheese, Old-Fashioned Coleslaw, BBQ sauce, or a spicy horseradish mayo.

Serve with Roasted Smashed Potatoes or Crispy Accordion Potatoes and a side of Sauteed Zucchini and Tomatoes or Sauteed Mushrooms.

How to Store Leftover Shredded Beef

It’s best to refrigerate the shredded beef separately if possible. Allow it to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 4 days. Rolls can be kept at room temperature.

You can also place the cooled meat in a freezer-safe bag, place it on its side to flatten and remove excess air, and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw completely in the refrigerator before reheating.

How to Reheat Beef Sliders

In the Microwave – Heat in a microwave safe container for 1 minute. Stir and heat for another 1-2 minutes until heated through.

On the Stovetop – Heat the shredded meat in a saute pan over medium heat, stirring often, for 5-7 minutes or until hot.

Notes

A little filling goes a long way. Keep sliders easy to handle by portioning 2–3 tablespoons of filling per sandwich—especially if you’re serving a crowd.
Be sure to shred the meat while it’s still warm so it’s easier to pull apart and absorbs sauces better.
If transporting, it may be helpful to use toothpicks or small skewers to hold sliders together.
