- 2 1/2 lbs London broil (shoulder(
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup beef broth
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 medium onion thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 12 slider buns
- Optional toppings: sautéed peppers and onions provolone or cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, or horseradish mayo
Pat the London broil dry and season all over with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef for 2–3 minutes per side until browned (optional but adds flavor and color).
Place sliced onions and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker. Lay the seared beef on top.
Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4–5 hours, until the beef is very tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Remove beef from the slow cooker, shred with two forks, and return to the slow cooker to soak up juices.
Serve the shredded beef on slider buns with your choice of toppings.
A little filling goes a long way. Keep sliders easy to handle by portioning 2–3 tablespoons of filling per sandwich—especially if you're serving a crowd.
Be sure to shred the meat while it's still warm so it's easier to pull apart and absorbs sauces better.
If transporting, it may be helpful to use toothpicks or small skewers to hold sliders together.
