This Quick Strawberry Shortcake Recipe is so easy! The strawberry sauce is great for so many recipe ideas!
Made with fresh strawberries in just minutes. A perfect summer dessert recipe.
Hello Friends! It has been chilly here in Southern California, but I am already thinking of spring. I am so inspired by the lovely Macy's Culinary Council event last night. I shared a lot on my Instagram Stories last night so check it out if you missed it.
Today we are talking dessert. Since we are able to get fresh strawberries nearly year-round here, this quick dessert idea is perfect to bring in a bit of sunshine to the table.
The fresh strawberries are mashed together first and then warmed on the stove.
I like to keep it easy with a store-bought angel food cake, but this recipe works with biscuits, homemade shortbread and even waffles!
Just top whatever bread you use with the strawberries in syrup and top with whipped cream.

We love this treat that incorporates some of the fresh fruit of the season. This also works well by substituting other fresh fruit for the strawberries. You can have this simple dessert on the table in minutes.
