Chocolate Cherry Shot Ingredients
- chocolate liqueur - I use Godiva chocolate liqueur - it is the best and it gives the drink a creamy chocolate flavor.
- vodka - I used a white vodka but if you can find a cherry vodka, I bet that would tasted good too.
- grenadine
- whipped cream
- chocolate sauce - such as Hersheys chocolate syrup
- cherries - I used maraschino cherries.

Equipment
Just a few things are needed:
- cocktail shaker
- 2 - small cordial glass or shot glass. I used these tall shot glasses.
Substitutions & Variations
- Cherry vodka, Marshmallow vodka or Black Cherry vodka can be subbed for the vodka.
- Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur , Irish Cream or or Kahlua coffee liqueur can be subbed for the chocolate liqueur.
- Fresh strawberries - can be subbed for the maraschino cherries.
How To Make a Chocolate-Covered Cherry Shot
Step 1 - To a cocktail shaker, add vodka and ice.
Step 2 - Add chocolate liqueur
Step 3 - Add grenadine. Shake to combine and chill.
Step 4 - Strain into two shooter glasses or similar. Add whipped cream.
Step 5- Top with a thin layer of chocolate topping and a maraschino cherry. serve immediately.
Storage
Store leftover liqueur at room temperature in an airtight container.
Top tip
- Make a big batch ofthese for a party.
- For a fun added twist, you can rim the shot glasses with red colored sugar.
- Save the maraschino cherry juice for other cocktails.
