Substitutions and Variations
You could easily make this a Blueberry Cheesecake dip using blueberry pie filling. You could also make an Apple Cheesecake dip with apple pie filing – you get the idea.
You can sub fresh whipped cream for the whipped topping. It will add a richer taste to it.
Alternatively, you can use low fat cream cheese if you would like it to be lighter.

Top Tips
- For a smooth and creamy dip, ensure your cream cheese is softened at room temperature before starting. This will make it easier to beat and prevent lumps. If you forget to soften it beforehand, you can soften it in the microwave in short bursts (5-10 seconds at a time) on low power, checking and rotating it frequently to avoid overheating.
- You can top the cream cheese layer with other varieties of nuts such as pecans or walnuts.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Serving and Storage
Serve this dip in a serving bowl or dish surrounded by cookies and crackers. You could also add a few sliced fresh strawberries on top of the dip for garnish.
What to Serve with Dessert Dips
Serve this dip with classic graham crackers, vanilla wafers, golden oreos, Pizzelle cookies, or animal crackers. You can also serve this with slices of fresh fruit (pineapple or melon slices) or as part of a Valentine’s dessert board.
Storage Suggestion
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
