Baked homemade pizza bagels hit the sweet spot between a quick lunch and full-on comfort food. Real bagels, good sauce, proper cheese layering, and one oven trick that changes everything about how these taste and feel.
I have been making these for years since the kids were little. This easy recipe is one of our simple meal ideas you will want to bookmark.

Think crispy bagel half edges, melty cheese, and classic pizza vibes without making a whole pizza with just a few simple ingredients.

Why you’ll love this recipe
- Fast and easy – Pizza bagel bites work for lunch, dinner, or snacks
- Uses a plain bagel and simple pantry staples
- Customizable with favorite pizza toppings
- Kid-friendly and freezer-friendly
- Works in a regular oven, toaster oven, or air fryer

Ingredients for pizza bagels
- Plain bagels, halved – The foundation of everything. Plain, everything, sesame, whole wheat – they all work. Fresh bagels from a real bagel shop will always beat the grocery store bag stuff because they have better chew and structure
- Marinara sauce – You could also use Pizza Sauce. This is my favorite pizza sauce.
- Pepperoni slices
- Salted butter
- Garlic powder
- Italian Seasoning – Storebought or homemade Italian Seasoning
- Mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Optional: fresh parsley, chopped
