This Bubble Up Pizza Bake is a cozy, crowd friendly pizza casserole recipe that turns refrigerator biscuit dough into fluffy biscuits layered with pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni slices.
Like my Pizza roll ups and my Pizza bagels, this is a super quick pizza meal idea that requires very little effort! That is my kind of dinner!


It feels like traditional pizza crossed with a deep dish pizza vibe, all baked together in one casserole dish. With simple ingredients and simple steps, it is an easy dinner recipe that works beautifully for busy weeknights, pizza night, or a long day when easy meals matter.

Ingredients for bubble up pizza bake
- Refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- Pizza sauce
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Pepperoni

How to make this pizza Bubble Up bake

- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed up, cooked through, and
- the cheese is golden and bubbly. Check the center of the dish to make sure the dough is
- fully cooked.
- Let cook and serve with extra pizza sauce, if desired.

Step 1 – Preheat oven. Pop open both cans of biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters using kitchen shears.

Step 2 – Arrange the biscuit pieces evenly across the bottom of the baking dish, keeping them in a single layer.

Step 3 – Spoon the pizza sauce over the biscuit pieces, spreading it out evenly.

Step 4 – Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.

Step 5 – Add pepperoni slices. I like to cover the entire dish for delicious pepperoni flavor.

Step 6 – Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed up, cooked through, and the cheese is golden and bubbly. Check the center of the dish to make sure the dough is fully cooked.
