Ingredients For Peppermint White Russian

This recipe only requires a few simple ingredients. 

coffee liqueur – I prefer Kahlua coffee liqueur
vodka – you can use regular vodka or peppermint vodka for a stronger peppermint twist
peppermint schnapps – available at grocery stores or liquor stores.
half and half 
Ice cubes

  • old fashioned glass or highball glass
  • drink stirrer
  • cocktail shaker
  • shot glass

How to Make A Peppermint White Russian

Step By Step Instructions


  1. To rim the glasses, add 3-4 tbsp. Corn syrup to a saucer, and crushed candy canes or peppermints to another saucer.
  2. Dip the rim of the glass into the corn syrup, followed by the crushed candies.
  3. For the drink, fill your glass about halfway with ice.
  4. Add in vodka, peppermint schnapps, and Kahlua

  • You can substitute heavy cream or whole milk for half and half.
  • You can substitute apple schnapps for an apple white Russian.

Peppermint White Russian Cocktail

A delicious twist on a traditional white Russian cocktail. Peppermint and cream make this a wonderful holiday cocktail.

  • 1 oz. kahlua coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. peppermint schnapps
  • 2 oz. half and half
  • Ice
  • Corn Syrup for garnish
  • Crushed candy canes or peppermints plus optional mini candy canes for garnish


Rim Glasses

  • Add 3 - 4 tablespoons of corn syrup to small plate or saucer,. Place crushed candy canes or peppermints to another saucer.
  • Dip the rim of the glass into the corn syrup, followed by the crushed candies.

Prepare Cocktail

  • For the drink, fill your glass about halfway with ice.
  • Add in vodka, peppermint schnapps, half and half, and kahlua.
  • Optional, add a mini candy cane for garnish.

That's creamy and dreamy! I just found out that our very favorite chef/mixologist in training will be missing our annual New Year's party (she has NEVER missed it and and has been coming with her family since she was Des' age) and so maybe I need to whip these up to cheer people up.
