Why You Will Love This Recipe

This is one of my favorite party punch recipes. Perfect for many holiday celebrations.

Sherbet punch recipes are simple, delicious and ready in minutes.

It is also perfect for St. Patrick’s day celebrations and we call it Shamrock Punch. We like to add maraschino cherries to it and make it a grinch punch for the holidays.

This punch looks very festive on your party table.

It is perfect for birthday parties, baby showers, Easter and Halloween (It works as a witch’s brew or a Grinch punch).

Also great for a bridal shower.

Pro Tips and Timesaver Shortcuts

  • You can easily double this recipe as needed. You will need 2 liters of soda per quarts of lime sherbet.

Variations, Notes, and Substitutions

  • You can substitute ginger ale or mountain dew for the soda. Note that the latter has a lot of caffeine so I stick to sprite or seven up.
  • This is a classic punch recipe and you can change up the color and experiment with different flavors easily by using a different sherbet. For example, using orange sherbet and the soda will give you a festive orange sherbet punch. Similarly, you can make a strawberry sherbet punch by using strawberry sherbet.
  • To add a spiked flavor to this recipe, add a shot of vodka or rum to an 8 oz serving.

Serving and Storage Suggestions

  • This punch looks especially pretty in a punch bowl if you have one. Save a couple of scoops of lime sherbet and freeze. Then add to the bowl after punch has been made.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container. You can use the leftover green sherbet punch to make lime sherbet floats by adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
