I have got cleaning tips to share with you today. Since we have giving the oven a little break these past few weeks I decided to clean it and thought I would share a few tips on how to clean oven racks. My oven racks had been neglected over the last few months because I use them most in the fall and winter.
In order to save time, I always clean mine with this easy method.
These are how they looked when I took them out of the oven.
Easy Way to Clean Oven Racks
I placed the dirty racks on garbage bags outside, away from pets, plants and people. I would not suggest using newspaper, because wet newspaper ink is messy. I put mine on the concrete in a ventilated area.
I put on my gloves and then sprayed the racks with a spray oven cleaner. I used a foam cleaner so that the cleaning agent would stick to the rack.
After spraying them, I left them to soak for about two hours. You will see the dirt will have literally fallen off of the racks.
After about 10 minutes, the racks are ready to be rinsed off.
I wiped them off with a clean towel to remove the last of the residual and they are ready to go. I have found this to be the best way to clean oven racks.
I love it when I can get something to pretty much clean itself. Do you have any cleaning tips and tricks that you love?
