If you know someone who is planning a wedding, you may want to share some interesting statistics. My friends at Dollar Tree sent me some interesting information recently. Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of Dollar Tree, all opinions are my own.
Did you know that today, the average wedding cost is over $25,000? In my opinion, that is enough for a down payment on a house! Check out these statistics from The Dollar Tree.
If you read this blog you know that I love the Dollar Tree and I recently made some wedding decorations with their products. You can see the full post at Dollar Store Wedding Decorations.
On this infographic, they share some great ideas to save on table accents. I love cute table accents, but because they are used for only one day, you do not want to spend a ton of money on them. Also, if possible, you want to reuse and repurpose them after the event. Dollar Tree has lots of very inexpensive ways to decorate a table or place setting on their Wedding Decor Ideas page.
Here is another cute idea for some framed chalkboard ideas that are very inexpensive and can save some of those dollars (and reuse them afterwards).
For more information check out the DIY Wedding Infographic. There are a lot of ways to cut costs when putting on a wedding or other big event.
Do you have any tips for saving on wedding preparations?
Disclosure: I have partnered with Dollar Tree to share some of their products that I have used. I love their stores and products. All opinions are my own.

This is awesome! My sister is getting married this fall and it will be a budget wedding. It will be at my parent's farm with a tent. And maybe no DJ/band - they may have an iPod wedding. We did that and it was awesome.

I love the idea of an iPod wedding! So exciting that your sister is getting married. I loved the engagement photos you took.

Great tips and informative statistics Raquel. My daughter is getting married next summer and we've already decided we're doing a DIY wedding as she is getting married outdoors in the mountains so we're keeping it down-to-earth and simple. Thanks for the inspiration and so glad I found your link at The Pin Junkie Friday Party!

Congratulations to your daughter Marie! Sounds like a beautiful location for wedding! Thank you for your kind comment.

We're planning a 50th wedding anniversary celebration for my in-laws this summer. These ideas would be great for that too!

Great point Julia! How wonderful - 50 years is terrific!

Hi Raquel! Great post, because weddings definitely are expensive! When my son was married a few years, I made everything from the invitations to the favors, which I know helped them save $$. 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing at Best of the Weekend and pinning! Hope you're having a great week and wishing you a very happy Mother's Day!
