Are you getting ready to travel this summer? If you are, chances are you got a list of travel essentials and accessories you need to buy before the trip. For me no matter how prepared I am, someone in the family always seem to need something before going on a trip.

These expenses can add up and if you're like me, you certainly don't want to dip into your travel budget to pay for things before you even get to your destination.

I usually get most of my must have travel accessories at the dollar store. If you have not checked them out, I encourage you to look at your favorite dollar store.

If you are going somewhere sunny, they have the best travel accessories for those destinations with items like sunscreen, lip protection, beach toys and hats - all for only dollar each.

You can also find cute make up bags which are great for make up but also other things like snacks, toys, electronic cords and activity kits.

Need some entertainment for your trip? They have some there too.

You can also find great entertainment supplies for road trip kits for the kids. These also make great gift ideas for friends that are going on a trip soon. Blank notebooks can be used for travel journals.

Put it this way - Starla, the cashier at the Dollar Tree, knows me by name. I also like to get drinks for the kids for trips, like those big Arizona tea cans. The girls also get cheap earbuds that probably won't make the trip home!

LOL! I hear you Eli. Oh those Arizona teas are good aren't they? Yes, the earbuds are not the most well-made, but usually make it through the trip.

We totally do the dollar store before plane trips with the kids. Definitely helps them with coloring or activity books. And makeup bags are one of my favorite thing! I like to use many at once!

Dollar Stores are one of my favorite hangouts and I probably spend too much time and money there. The only things I wouldn't buy there are medications.

I LOVE the dollar store lol! I go there all the time. I usually walk in needing like 2 or 3 items, and then manage to have a cart-full of stuff by the end!

Hi, I'm Raquel! I am a self-proclaimed foodie and have enjoyed cooking and baking since I was little. I loved baking cookies with my mother and grandma as a child, and later making dinners for my parents to foster my passion while in high school. I also had a passion for organizing and keeping things tidy.
